Angie's List Awards for Minneapolis Landscaping
Angie's List, for anyone who hasn't heard of it or used it, is a subscription-based service which allows you to look up contractors in any industry and see reviews from people who've hired them. It has been around since 1995 and I think my company was first put on by a client in the late 90s.
Contractors can only be put on the list by having a consumer use their service--- you can't just sign your company up and be listed. This means several things:
- Someone has to care enough about a business (whether positive or negative) to bother putting up a review.
- The kind of person willing to pay ~$70/year to be able to search contractors and post reviews will probably have a somewhat reliable opinion worth reading. (Bias alert-- I also am a paid subscriber and use it to find my own contractors for my house.)
- Angie's List members are generally reasonable people with a high but certainly fair expectation of good service.
- If you satisfy an Angie's List client it's definitely a reason to feel good about yourself, and even better if they go give a report.
We've included a number of the these reports in our Testimonials page, which is worth a glance.
Over time we've slowly gotten more and more clients who either found us through Angie's List or who already happened to be members. Sometimes we don't know until after the project that they're members. We take it has a huge compliment that we've had enough great reports filed the last two years to win their Super Service Award in 2009 and 2010. We hope to continue that tradition of making clients happy--- whether you're an Angie's List member, or not!
We should mention also that we aren't getting anything for plugging their service... it's just a company we use and believe in ourselves and we want to make sure we explain why their awards mean so much to us. Thanks!
